I love your schedules but I am running a fun round robin for ladies tennis with 6 courts of doubles.  I know there will be more than 24 girls and I just don't know what numbers should stay out.  I have 6 courts right now and 26 girls signed up so far.  We want this to be fun where everyone will pick a no. and rotate. (not as teams).  The schudule that you have posted is for singles.  Please help.

Thanks,
Pat

Pat,

I have moved your message here as replies to messages are not possible in the Comments area.

If your 26 girls are labelled A to Z, then the following is a 13 round robin type schedule that should provide good mixing.

(T U : R Y)  (F D : M X)  (Q S : I C)  (B G : Z L)  (O E : N V)  (H K : J W)  (A P)
(U V : S Z)  (G E : A Y)  (R T : J D)  (C H : N M)  (P F : O W)  (I L : K X)  (B Q)
(V W : T N)  (H F : B Z)  (S U : K E)  (D I : O A)  (Q G : P X)  (J M : L Y)  (C R)
(W X : U O)  (I G : C N)  (T V : L F)  (E J : P B)  (R H : Q Y)  (K A : M Z)  (D S)
(X Y : V P)  (J H : D O)  (U W : M G)  (F K : Q C)  (S I : R Z)  (L B : A N)  (E T)
(Y Z : W Q)  (K I : E P)  (V X : A H)  (G L : R D)  (T J : S N)  (M C : B O)  (F U)
(Z N : X R)  (L J : F Q)  (W Y : B I)  (H M : S E)  (U K : T O)  (A D : C P)  (G V)
(N O : Y S)  (M K : G R)  (X Z : C J)  (I A : T F)  (V L : U P)  (B E : D Q)  (H W)
(O P : Z T)  (A L : H S)  (Y N : D K)  (J B : U G)  (W M : V Q)  (C F : E R)  (I X)
(P Q : N U)  (B M : I T)  (Z O : E L)  (K C : V H)  (X A : W R)  (D G : F S)  (J Y)
(Q R : O V)  (C A : J U)  (N P : F M)  (L D : W I)  (Y B : X S)  (E H : G T)  (K Z)
(R S : P W)  (D B : K V)  (O Q : G A)  (M E : X J)  (Z C : Y T)  (F I : H U)  (L N)
(S T : Q X)  (E C : L W)  (P R : H B)  (A F : Y K)  (N D : Z U)  (G J : I V)  (M O)

The two players with a bye are in the last column.  All players should have 12 different partners and 24 different opponents.  The pairs of players who never oppose are:

AN
BO
CP
DQ
ER
FS
GT
HU
IV
JW
KX
LY
MZ

Hope that helps,

Ian.
