Thanks to all the contributors and moderators of this forum!

I have found several balanced solutions in this forum and the one I chose doesn't work too well starting in round 11 (1 team in round 11 repeats from round 9, etc.).

We have 7 players that play for 2 hours on 1 court and my goals are to find a schedule for 13 rounds of play that mixes up partners and opponents "fairly" with the following goals:
1. Players pair with each other at least once, but 2 times max.
2. Players oppose each other at least twice
3. No player sits out more than 1 round
4. No player plays more than 2 games in a row
5. All players have as close to the same number of games in rounds 10-13
6. A "team" of players do not repeat playing together within at least 3 rounds

I'd appreciate any help! Thanks!

What you are asking for is not mathematically possible.  If you make a schedule, there will be some pairs of teams who never meet, and other pairs who meet twice.  In general this does not work if the pool size is greater than the number of pools.

Requests / Whist tournament where you can only play a portion of rounds

Is there some sort of documentation out there for a whist tournament that stops after a certain number of rounds? I have a group that does the individual-pairs style play and the issue is that the games take long enough that there isn't enough time to run all the rounds. Is there a framework of some sort for making a schedule where you prioritize the social square aspect of group generation for a 2v2 format so that after each round you are playing with/against new people? obviously it can't be perfect, but would love to find a middle ground between the two that works for rectangular numbers (Most like 12-13 people in 3 groups of 4).

A players 6 partners are all different, and a players 12 opponents are all different, however there is some overlap, so most players have one player who they meet twice (once as partner and once as opponent). Hope that helps.

Looking for a mixed round-robin tennis draws for 24 players (12 ladies, 12 men),
where men play with a different lady every round, and play against a different male
and a different female as much as possible.  We have 6 courts available and would
like to play a maximum of 6 rounds, same day.

No need to be concerned about scoring or anything other variables.
