Nearly at a complete loss, and this may be a no go but heres my situation. I am planning Beer Olympics that will have 4 teams of 4. There will be 6 events in total that all teams will need to compete in. 4 of the 6 events require the 4 person teams to be split into pairs. The issue I am having is that I can figure out how to schedule which teams will go where for what events, however I can't figure out how to split teams off into pairs in which all will play evenly. Ill try and make this easier by listing the teams and the events:

Blue Team:
A, B, C, D

Red Team:
E, F, G, H

Green Team:
I, J, K, L

Yellow Team:
M, N, O, P

Boat Race: All teams involved, no scheduling needed.
Split Event 1: Beer Pong/ Beer Frisbee (pairs only for each)
High Noon: All teams involved, no scheduling needed.
Split Event 2: Cornhole/ Putt Putt (pairs only for each)
Flip Cup: All teams involved, no scheduling needed.
Slip N Slide: All teams involved, no scheduling needed.

Please let me know if this is an impossible nightmare, or if any other information is needed.

You may need to explain more about the format of play for one of the split events.  At the moment I am imagining that you would split each team into two fixed pairs at the beginning.  So when blue and red meet for a split event you would play four mini-rounds as follows:

                      Pong         Frisbee
mini-round1  AB vs EF   CD vs GH
mini-round2  CD vs EF   AB vs GH
mini-round3  CD vs GH  AB vs EF
mini-round4  AB vs GH  CD vs EF

I don't think you can rotate partners as you would need too many rounds of play.
