Round Robin Tournament Scheduling

Here is the scenario for our pickleball group,
We have 16 players and 4 courts.
2 of our players qualified for the US Open this year so they need as much practice as possible together.
So I am looking for a 10-12 game list where player 1 and 2 are always partners, but the other 14 players are randomly assigned with as little repitition as possible. I thought of the 3 court 14 player and then just add the 15 and 16 as the matchups for the 2 bye, but there was a lot of repetition.
Any help would be massively appreciated.

I think your idea of scheduling for 14 players on 3 courts is a good one. As long as each player occurs as a bye either once or twice, and the bye pairs are all unique, then the mixing with the 2 elite players is going to be as good as it can be. So would the 11 round schedule below work for you when you make the bye pairs in the last column play against 15 & 16?
