Title: Round Robin - 24 Players - 3 per board

Hi,

I tried searching for the above but do not get the result I am looking for.

I want a round robin schedule for a darts tournament. 24 players with 3 players allocated per board (2 play & 1 score). All players must play each other with no duplicates.

Please can you assist?

A couple of questions.  When 3 players are assigned a board - do they all play each other in 3 games?  Do you have rounds of play where 8 boards are being used simultaneously?

Hi,

Yes, the tree players will play each other in a round robin. I require 8 groups of 3.

There is no perfect solution to this scheduling problem.  My reccomendation would be to use a schedule from Ed Pegg's page here (https://www.mathpuzzle.com/MAA/54-Golf%20Tournaments/mathgames_08_14_07.html).  Look for the one with the title "Can 24 golfers play in threesomes for 11 days?", this works but you must be prepared to have one round of 4 players per board.
