Title: Golf round robin matchplay in fourballs

Hi

I'm running an autumn league at our golf club - traditionally manually done (on paper)but this year I would love to automate!

It's 28 players round robin matchplay therefore you have 27 matches. Here's the catch tho- having looked at formats on here - you play in a 4 ball each week with 3 different players each week so you get 3 matches in the 1 four ball.

So we need a permutation where you play each week 3 different players.

Is it possible to formulate??

If you look here (http://www.mathpuzzle.com/MAA/54-Golf%20Tournaments/mathgames_08_14_07.html) for "28 golfers can play in foursomes for 9 days" then I think that is the answer you are looking for.
