Round Robin Tournament Scheduling

Similar to Mary Jacoby's problem, I need to schedule 4 two person teams (i.e. two tables) at a home once per month for nine months with a minimum of overlap and maximum of exposure to the other players, which has ranged up to a total of 64 players so far [could be bigger this year!]
Some teams are couples and some are individuals just playing together. I did not see a specific answer to her question and perhaps it would suffice for ideas on how to use the information which is being presented to solve this particular scheduling.
