Hi there
Can someone help me - I need a rotation schedule for twenty people - with 5 tables

Have you investigated Whist Schedules? If not, click the schedules button above, and then dial up a Whist tournament for 20 players.

Yes - I Did - but one person has to stay at table one all night - I have used this website for my other parties and that is always my down fall - the same person sits at the same table all night - I also wanted to have it so I could play 22 people and every game have 2 people sit out - is this possible

Within any round of the Whist Schedule, you can reassign the groups of four players players to any of the tables.  So by randomizing the table allocations you would break the undersirable feature that one of the players never moves from table 1.

For 22 players it is not possible to have a perfect schedule where all partners occur exactly once and all opponents exactly twice.  The 22 round schedule below is about the best you can do, each player has 2 bye rounds, they partner 20 different players and oppose all other players at least once, and at most twice.
