I am trying to do a round robin tournament for beer olympics where there are 12 teams and 6 events. I would like every team to play each other once without an overlap. Please help!

See the 6 events schedule here.  Or if you can last the full 11 rounds necessary to play each other once, then follow the schedules link near the top of this page and then enter 12 items and click 'balanced'  the 6 matches would be the events.

Good Day, we're having a beer olympics with 8 teams competing in 4 events. We would like every team to play each other once in every event. We have a lot of beer ready, but no schedule!

That would be 28 rounds to all play each other once at every event!  If you can all remain standing that long, then start with this schedule:

(6 1) (7 4) (3 2) (5 8)
(2 4) (3 8) (7 1) (6 5)
(7 3) (6 8) (5 2) (1 4)
(5 7) (1 3) (6 4) (8 2)
(1 5) (6 2) (8 7) (4 3)
(4 8) (2 1) (3 5) (6 7)
(6 3) (4 5) (8 1) (2 7)

and then rotate the columns 3 times to generate rounds 8 to 28, exactly as I have shown here for 6 teams.

Hi,

I'm hoping to host an event with 10 teams, 5 events, and 5 rounds in which no team plays the same event or other team twice.  Is this possible?

Hi Ash,

Yes this will work.  Use either the Morning or Afternoon from this schedule.

I need help with 10 teams playing 7 or 8 games. I'd like each team to each other team once with no repeats. I think its possible I just can't figure it out! Thanks in advance :) :)

Here are some schedules.  They are not full round-robins, as you would need 9 events and 9 rounds in order for each team to play the 9 possible opponents.

The 10 players (or teams) are A to J, rows and columns are rounds and events.

Ian Wakeling you are amazing! I have a similar question to everyone else.

I am trying to get 14 teams to play 13 different games playing each team and each game only once.

Could this also be done with 13 teams playing 12 games against everyone playing each team only once and each game only once? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I saw a link to the wikipedia article about Room Squares but I have no idea how those work as they descirbe what they are but not how to do them.
