I am a moderator in a CRIBBAGE league & I would like some help with scheduling a Round Robin type tournament with a set number of rounds (Swiss tournament).

I can run 10 or 11 rounds in approximately 2 hours (each round set at 10 mins allowing some time in between each round to record wins & losses) with an unlimited number of players. Up to 10-12 players I will use the Round Robin tournament scheduling but above that I need to find a scheduling tool that will allow me to set the number of rounds that will distribute the "BYES" in each round if an uneven number of players are signed up in the tournaments so that every players has played the same number of matches at the end of the 10 or 11 rounds. I have seen a "swiss" formula somewhere in my searches but I don't know how to apply it in my Excel sheets (MS office 2007).

You will probably want to do a round-robin guided swiss. Assign pairing numbers randomly and start the first round as a normal round robin. After that choose a round pairing which will match up as many perfect scores as possible. Once you have one or no perfect scores, find pairings to match up high scorers. For the last few rounds you might just want to pick unplayed rounds at random.

You're welcome, but I'm afraid I might have been in too big of a hurry with my first post.  If there are no seedings, rankings, or ratings of cribbage my solution was OK.  If there are seedings, the first round should be paired like a swiss.  Assume 20 players show up to play in your 12 round tournament.  The top seed should start against number 11, 2 meets 12, 3 v 13, ... 10 v 20.  Randomly assign pairing numbers that will keep these pairings.
19 or 20 players
      5-15  7-17   3-13   10-20  8-18   9-19   2-12   6-16   4-14   1-11             (Random swiss pairings for 1st round of 20 players)
Rd    Pairings
 1:   1-20  11-10  19-2   12-9   18-3   13-8   17-4   14-7   16-5   15-6              (Round 1 pairings from RR chart)

The order of the pairings indicates Home-Away or White-Black.  If either side in cribbage has a slight advantage, flip a coin to see if player 1 has it.  If so reverse all pairings where the first player has an even number (i.e. 7-17  3-13   20-10  18-8).  Then give each player the pairing number underneath his seeding number.
