Hi.  I've been turning this around and around and I'm stuck.

We have 9 total players who are going to be sharing a once a week pickleball court. The plan is to assign 4 players per week, with a rotation so that everyone gets about the same number of games over the course of 36 weeks (that's the duration of the standing reservation).  I was trying to find a way to set it up so there are different players each week (ie 1,2,3,4 week one, 5,6,7,8 week 2, 9,1,3,5 etc) but I got lost in trying to make sure it was relatively fair.

Any thoughts or direction would be incredibly appreciated as I'm just not built for figuring this out!

Thanks

If you are wanting all pairs to partner once and oppose twice, then I don't think it is possible to have different players each week.  The best I can come up with is.

[(A D):(G H)]
[(C I):(B F)]
[(E F):(D G)]
[(A I):(C H)]
[(F G):(B H)]
[(A E):(D I)]
[(F I):(A G)]
[(D E):(B C)]
[(E I):(F H)]
[(B G):(A C)]
[(C F):(D H)]
[(B I):(E G)]
[(A F):(C E)]
[(B D):(H I)]
[(C G):(E H)]
[(D F):(A B)]
[(C D):(G I)]
[(B E):(A H)]

Week 7 is the worst as there are two players from the previous week, but otherwise 3 or 4 players are different.  For the 2nd 18 week period, use the same schedule, but make a different assignment of the letters A to I to the 9 players.
