Very useful.  I planned out a tournament for 12 players in a tennis doubles mixer (where partners change every match) on only two courts.  I simply read across, row by row, and have the match 1 pairing play the match as a team against the match 2 pairing, Match 3 v. 4, etc.  I did not see any situation where a player had to be on two courts at the same time.  Except for the predictability of the #1 player (v. 12, v.11, v. 10 etc.) it seemed to mix it up pretty well.  I LOVE the ease at which an odd number of players can be accommodated with the ghost approach.  Thanks. :)
