6 Women 6 Men 3 Tables 4 Rounds
07/19/12 at 03:13:08

Women are paired with men 4 total people to a table, 3 tables, and 4 rounds.  Each player will play a total of 4 games. I am trying to figure out how to maximize the number of different table combinations.  Please help!

I understand that there is not a perfect rotation available for this format, I am just hoping to get the best possible rotation...

Really appreciate any help you could offer.

This might be useful if you have no other options:

[(M1 F3):(M4 F6)] [(M6 F2):(M5 F1)] [(M2 F5):(M3 F4)]
[(M1 F2):(M6 F5)] [(M4 F1):(M3 F6)] [(M5 F3):(M2 F4)]
[(M6 F3):(M4 F5)] [(M5 F6):(M2 F1)] [(M3 F2):(M1 F4)]
[(M2 F3):(M6 F1)] [(M5 F4):(M1 F6)] [(M4 F2):(M3 F5)]

To get this I have cut it down from something larger, so it is unlikely to be an optimal for the problem as specified.
