I need some help with a 2-court doubles tennis rotation with 12 ladies.
Obviously, 4 gals will be off each week, but how do I make sure everyone gets to play each other and the
same number of weeks?
Help. :'(
 Thanks,
LMB

We do have 33 weeks exactly, if I am counting directly...but remember I have only have two courts with 4 pairs playing each week, and 4 players sitting out...the 4 players sitting out may have scheduled out of town events and thus are random each week. Is there a way around this??

How many weeks do you want to play?  If you follow the schedules button above and then look at the Whist schedule for 12 players, you should see that you need 33 matches in order for everyone to partner each other exactly once.  Would you be looking for a rearrangement of that whist schedule into 16 and a half weeks?

I don't know how to reply to my reply, so I edited the original message to add the information!

Here is a schedule for 33 weeks, where all pairs of players partner exactly twice and oppose each other exactly four times.
Because of the way it is constructed there will be players who have consecutive byes, so if you use it then it would be best to randomize the order of the rows.  It is also possible that the same partnership occurs in consecutive weeks (for example 1 & 4 below), so it would be prudent to tweak the order of play to try to minimize that.

      match 1         match 2          byes
  ( 5 10 v  1  4) ( 3  6 v  2 11)  ( 9 12  7  8)
  ( 6 11 v  2  5) ( 1  4 v  3 12)  ( 7 10  8  9)
  ( 4 12 v  3  6) ( 2  5 v  1 10)  ( 8 11  9  7)
  ( 2 11 v  8  4) ( 1  6 v  3  7)  ( 5 12  9 10)
  ( 3 12 v  9  5) ( 2  4 v  1  8)  ( 6 10  7 11)
